Feasting for FEAST 2015

August 27, 2015 by bobbowles

feastingThe Asheville Scene presents the 5th Annual Feasting for FEAST on Thursday, September 10, 2015 from 6:00 – 9:00pm at The Renaissance Hotel in Downtown Asheville.

You’re Invited

5th Annual Feasting for FEAST

We believe ALL children deserve the opportunity to eat healthy food on a daily basis!

Want to attend one of the best foodie events in Asheville? How about sampling some of the greatest culinary creations Asheville provides from 16 restaurants? Pair this delectable dinner with samples of Biltmore Wines, the special collaborative brew from Oyster House and Riverbend Malthouse or Hibiscus Elderberry tea from Green Sage Cafe.   Not only can you feast on some of Asheville’s finest food, but you will be supporting FEAST, an organization which teaches over 1,500 city and county public school kids about growing, preparing, and FEASTing on healthy, local food. ALL of this can be yours for $35 per person, EVERY DOLLAR of which goes to supporting FEAST.  If you think about what you would pay to eat out in downtown Asheville , the $35 ticket is a great deal for sampling 16 restaurants and a STEAL when you think about the priceless education it supports in our community.

Who We Are

Slow Food Asheville is a local chapter, or “convivium,” of the international Slow Food movement. Local groups are called “convivia” because they bring together, in a convivial and enjoyable way, people who love food and traditions. Our convivium was founded in March, 2003.
