Bread Fest Call for Volunteers
Interested in participating in the 14th Annual Asheville Bread Festival? We are seeking bread-lovers and folks that care about sustainable food systems to help with this hugely popular Asheville event. The day will begin with a Bread Fair at New Belgium Brewery. Over 25 artisans will share their delicious breads and pastries. Attendees will have the opportunity to taste, purchase, and talk to these professional bakers. Books, locally milled flour and other items will also be for sale. Volunteers will help make it all run smoothly.
Volunteers will also be needed in the evening at the Pizza Dinner for presenters, bakers, sponsors and supporters of the Asheville Bread Festival. Wood fired ovens will be brought to New Belgium Brewery to make artisan pizza and attendees will have the opportunity to talk about bread and eat delicious food. Volunteers will help with set up, serving, and clean up as well as enjoy some of the best pizza in town.

Slow Food Asheville is happy to support the upcoming Asheville Bread Festival. We know first hand that events such as this one cannot be successfully executed without the help of generous volunteers. Our hope is you make it out to New Belgium on May 5th to learn about all things bread but that you can also find time to help and volunteer.
Don’t forget to scout our booth location and get your hands on some North Georgia Candy Roaster Squash seeds so you can participate in our Heritage Food Project this 2018 growing season!
